Logic prob
Today we got to build a logic probe. Using 2 red and black wires about 2 meters long each, 2 resisters 1 k ohm, red and black alligator clips and 100mm plastic tube 7mm ld. i started by connecting the resistor to the negative side of the red LED, the second resistor to the positive side of the green LED. i then grinned the brass rod in the middle, tined the area to make it easer to solder the LEDs on. then the whole probe was insulated with heat shrink . The way the probe works: when connected to the battery both LEDs should go on thats because they are connected in series. the green LED goes out when the probe connects the battery positive the reason for this is because the current gets blocked this causes it to go of. the green LED gets brighter when the probe is connected positive because the voltage in this case is not being shared between them. unlike when both LEDs are connected to the battery.
